Hi, my name is Tony Cutting, and I have been in the digital marketing business for coming on 15 years.  Prior to this I was involved in the Recruitment & Talent Management industries and worked my way from consultant to National Manager of a large multinational before establishing my own business which I grew and sold in 2010.   

I love the new path I am on and especially enjoy coaching and training Digital Marketing staff and SME business owners on how to use digital to grow their business.

Work Experience

Tony Cutting Digital (CEO) - August 2018 – Present

During 2018 after several years contracting where I developed my digital marketing skills I decided to focus in this area. I enjoy the industry as it is fast moving, and you need to be learning every week to stay on top of things. It is also an industry where collaboration with other Digital Marketing people is essential i.e. You cannot cover it all by yourself.

I have built a number of successful Digital Marketplaces e.g. www.wellingtontoday.co.nz and have over 140 active clients.

I still combine my previous experience as a business owner, recruitment industry achiever and talent management expert in my business today.

From time to time I will take on private coaching clients as I do enjoy helping others succeed.

Cutting Consultants (Partner) - February 2010 – August 2018

Cutting Consultants was the business entity setup for both my wife and Lisa to contract through. I specialised in Digital projects and helping organisations recruit and retain talent. She is a Training Specialist now working permanently in a management role for Ministry of Education.

I also contracted to organisations to help coach their staff as well as coached a number of private clients to help them in their careers or build their business.

TalentPoint (Director) - February 2004 – January 2010

I built New Zealand’s first RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) business. This business provided our clients with outsourced recruitment and talent management training services. Within the first 18 months we grew from me to 30 staff and 0 to 6.5 million dollars in sales. One aspect of TalentPoint I really enjyed was developing my marketing (especially digital marketing) skills. These were essential to promoting our brand and securing great talent for our clients.

I sold my business in 2010.
