Building a website using Squarespace.com
You have 60 minutes to build a website and present it to your trainer.
With Squarespace, you have so much creative flexibility – much more than most website builders. Sure, it’s ideal for users with loads of design flair, but it’s also easy enough for anyone to create a professional quality website. So get started with Squarespace today, and see where the creative journey takes you.
Since you are already on Squarespace follow these steps to setup your new website (this will be the site you train on but you also get to try our your on ideas by using your starting your own training site).
This get you there first.
On the left hand side menu go to HOME option and select this. once on the Home page go to the left hand side menu and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Click on my Photo and Link as shown below.
This takes you back to the main Tony Cutting Digital Account where you will see a load of websites. ON the top right hand side of this page you will see another photo of me with the button to CREATE A WEBSITE select this. Note your webiste will be not going live to the public so do not worry about this. We will not be publishing this site it is purely for trianing purposes on and will expire in a few months.
Notes on creating your website with Squarespace.com
Choose a Theme you like (There are hundreds to choose from)
Edit page names and layout (Choose a name for your website).
Design your website
Squarespace has a great help system with videos and clear instructions so if you need help just use the left hand side menu and scroll back to the Home page. The Help button is always the bottom menu item.
